Senior Researcher

Dr. Kibler has published over 50 scientific research papers, most of which we co-authored with student trainees. To support his research programs, he has received over $2 million in scientific research grant funding from the NIH, CDC, and other agencies. His grants have involved collaborators at NSU and other universities such as Duke, University of Miami, and Brown.

Student Training in Research

Prior to current position at NSU, trained/supervised 7 undergraduate research assistants, 11 graduate research assistants (including 3 clinical psychology interns), and 1 postdoctoral resident. These projects resulted in 8 trainee co-authored journal articles and 15 trainee co-authored conference presentations. Three of these undergraduate assistants entered PhD programs in psychology, and five of the graduate/postdoc assistants took faculty/research positions upon graduation.

In my current position at NSU, research mentorship of trainees continues to be one of my primary roles. I have supervised 43 doctoral research assistants (10 for whom I was the primary PhD mentor), and 11 undergraduate research assistants. I have co-authored journal articles and chapters with 28 students at NSU (11 of whom co-authored multiple publications with me). Of the 11 undergraduate research assistants, 5 entered PhD programs in psychology and 1 entered medical school, and 5 of my 10 PhD mentees have taken faculty/research positions following graduation.
